The project, "Social Caravan for Equality", will take place in remote villages of northern Morocco, a strongly conservative region with high religious extremism, where women's rights are violated and women and girls are exploited economically. The caravan is aimed at women, girls and boys from these villages. It will be undertaken with the following objectives:
- freeing the speech of women in remote, marginalized regions
- involving women and girls in legal and socioeconomic change processes in their communities
- eradicating child marriage
- eradicating the practice of forcing into marriage girls from families living abroad
- ensuring genuine vocational education and training for girls
- involving young boys in efforts to establish equal rights between men/women, girls/boys
- eliminating violence against women and girls
- ensuring the respect of autonomy and physical integrity of women
- ensuring complete respect for women’s economic rights and economic justice
- expanding the democratic space, ensuring inclusive governance and equal participation of women in politics.
