The support of the Mediterranean Women's Fund will go to the IRIDA Protection Program. 40% of the refugees arriving in Greece are women who generally do not have sufficient networks to protect them in their communities and who face a triple crisis: the effects of the pandemic, the trauma of displacement, and gender-based threats and discrimination. The goal of this project would be to provide support based on women's needs, help women deal with trauma, provide access to health care and psycho-social support; in short, to meet the needs of vulnerable women.
