Counselling center and shelter for abused women and children
The shelter provides safe accommodation for abused women and children, free legal, psychological and counselling services. Last year, 38 women and children were sheltered over a period of 4 to 9 months, and approximately 300 women receive legal aid each year. Because of COVID-19, legal aid is largely provided by email and telephone and women staying at the center have to take a test. Once a week, the counsellors at the center organize workshops on the theme of violence in order to open up a space for discussion between women victims.
