L'association Sawa, founded in 2004, has as its main activity a listening programme (national helpline): it is a national number that provides support, medical and legal advice and referral to specialists for women and children exposed to various forms of violence and abuse. A qualified and trained team works at the helpline, including a medical service that can provide emergency medical assistance. This number receives about 400 calls per day.
