The main objective of the project « Promoting sexual right in the human rights discourse and activism » is to create a multi-disciplinary network of Arab professionals and experts covering the whole spectrum of sexuality education and health, and to enhance skills in the area of sexuality education by combining indigenous knowledge and culture with modern practices and science. The first step will be to deliver a training for these professionals. In July 2017, Muntada launched its forth regional professional training. During the recruitment phase, many applications were received from Egypt, Morocco, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Tunisia, Libya, Jordan, Algeria, Lebanon, Sudan, Mauritania and Gaza. Thus Muntada decided to conduct three separate regional trainings: one for participants from Middle East Arab Countries, another for participants from Egypt and a third special training for North African Arab countries participants in cooperation with International Planned Parenthood Federations (IPPF) in Tunisia which will be partially funded by this project. The Mediterranean Women’s Fund will participate to the funding of this last training. |
