Gun Free Kitchen Tables (GFKT) works to reduce and control small weapons in the civilian space in Israel, enabling women and children to live in safer homes and communities.
Incorporating a feminist analysis to reverse the proliferation of weapons, GFTK lobbies for preventive gun legislation, effective enforcement and greater transparency. The group combines research, advocacy, movement building, community organizing and legal action to hold authorities, armed organizations and individuals accountable.
GFKT is made up of 17 feminist, civil and human rights organizations in Israel.
