The Mediterranean Women's Fund has financed the project "Men standing up for gender equality" which aims to contribute to ending gender-based violence and achieving gender equality.

It will identify and train 12 civic service mediators who will raise awareness among 670 other men on these topics via face-to-face, online or social network workshops; create and disseminate a digital campaign; train 330 professionals‧les from different sectors on the issues of identifying and caring for survivors; set up a referral service for victims and people at risk in the Ile de France region (500 women) and disseminate a self-diagnosis application for women victims of violence or at risk. The project is part of a larger project carried out in consortium with two other European organizations: Lessan e.V - project coordinator (Germany) and Himilo (Netherlands). This is the 2nd phase of the project. |

The organization Femmes Entraide et Autonomie (Women’s mutual aid and autonomy, FAE) was created in 2012, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, in order to fight against all forms of violence against women and to promote access to rights and health for women, particularly those with an immigrant background. Through its "Men Standing up for Gender Equality" project, FEA has chosen to involve men in the fight against gender-based violence, including female genital mutilation and early and forced marriage: ten men will be trained and will in turn train other men on these subjects.
