L'association The goals and main areas of work of the Center for Development of Rural Women (CDRW) :

- To helping rural women living in Albania face the traditional and new challenges set by the on-going development of the market economy.
-  Protect women rights and provide help against violence and discrimination-related offences
-  Provide education advice and help to prevent domestic violence offences.
-  Increase awareness on a wide range of gender related issues and to help prevent human trafficking.
- Help small business initiatives in rural areas
- Closely work and collaborate with local and central authorities as well as other NPOs on a wide range
of topics with the final goal to promote and protect women rights.

	Strengthen the role of women and girls in rural life, by increasing the level of legal information on the prevention and protection from domestic violence and gender-based violence The aim of this project is to help strengthen the community of women and girls in Shijak by increasing the level of information on legal knowledge and on the implementation of laws regulating family relationships and property rights, and also to involve local authorities more… The aim of this project is to help strengthen the community of women and girls in Shijak by increasing the level of information on legal knowledge and on the implementation of laws regulating family relationships and property rights, and also to involve local authorities more closely in the implementation of laws and policies relating to gender equality and domestic violence. They sought support from the MedWF for the project and related administrative expenses. +plus

This project will aim to equip women and girls in rural areas with legal information on their rights; to sensitize and equip local institutions on the prevention of domestic violence; and to provide legal assistance through a CDRW lawyer for those in need. +plus
