Based on the notion that young people are at the forefront of activism, the Albanian association, Center for Bridging Communities (CBC), seeks to address the growing problem of violence against women by working directly with young people to become ambassadors for gender equality. The project consists, as the name suggests, of workshops to raise awareness through art on gender equality issues. The aim is to raise awareness among the young participants, but also to encourage them to spread the concept within their schools. The project is being implemented in two remote areas of northern Albania, Has and Kus, where patriarchal attitudes are very strong in both family life and education of children.
