L'association Beit el Hanane, la « Maison de la Tendresse » créé en 2008 au cœur de Beyrouth, est un refuge pour les femmes victimes de violence et leurs enfants, indépendamment de leur origine religieuse, sociale ou politique.
L’association offre aux femmes fuyant toutes formes de violence, un hébergement gratuit à moyen terme dans un environnement accueillant.

The MedWF’s assistance also allowed for the opening of… The support of the Mediterranean Women's Fund was used to cover the monthly allowance of the association's regular volunteers, granted on an exceptional basis due to their increased workload and overall expenses. The MedWF’s assistance also allowed for the opening of transitional housing - a 3-bedroom apartment for beneficiaries who are more emotionally stable, have been further rehabilitated, need more privacy, and are able to live semi-independently, focusing on their studies and part-time employment. +plus
