They sought the MedWF’s support for their project to strengthen the psychological, economic and legal capacities of displaced Sudanese women, targeting the 18-35 age group. They organized workshops and roundtables on raising awareness of gender-based violence and psychological and legal protection frameworks related to what they had been exposed to, and reconciling their legal status in the Egyptian system, while running economic empowerment workshops to enable them to engage with the irregular Egyptian labor market.
