Women present on the frontline of the demonstrations against Syria's regime are now being targeted by security forces. Tortured, raped, repressed, they are used as a weapon of war.
Despite this fact, the courage displayed by the women is remarkable. In the struggle for democracy and against violence, many Syrian women are now acknowledged as leaders of the Revolutionary Coordinating Committee.
