Our 2011 photography competition ended on December 30 and, after close deliberations, the jury rendered its verdict.
We wish to express our warmest thanks to this brave and magnificent jury: Souad Belhaddad, Malika Benameur, Pierre Yves Gimenez, Sylvie Hugues, Frédérique Jouval, Marie-Paule Nègre and Reza who so generously donated their time to select the photos.
The theme, “The Women, Their Revolutions”, was meant to illustrate the diverse revolutionary forms (big and small) women may take to affirm their rights and create new horizons. The democratic struggle underway in Tunisia and Egypt naturally received considerable attention, but some of the 300 photographs received this year also came from Algeria, Cyprus, Croatia, Spain, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Portugal.
We heartily thank all of those who participated and who sent us truly high quality photographs this year.
Faced with such a level of excellence, the 2011 jury pre-selected 17 photos rather than the initially planned 10. We wish to warmly thank all of these candidates for their quality of their work.
The first 3 prize winners chosen by the jury are
2ème prix - Sana Sbouai 3ème prix - Fabien Lombard
